Leadership
TechIndiana is employer-led and board-accountable. Our leadership brings four decades of building at the intersection of technology, talent, and Indiana’s economic future.
Dennis A. Trinkle, Ph.D.
Dennis is honored to serve as the founding President and CEO of TechIndiana, having been asked to lead the launch of Indiana’s first employer-led talent engine for the AI era — a 501(c)(3) building the state’s end-to-end technology talent pipeline through apprenticeship and workforce development.
Before TechIndiana, Dennis served as Senior Vice President for Talent, Strategy, and Partnerships at TechPoint, where he led the launch of Mission41K — a workforce initiative that drove a 60% increase in Indiana’s high-skill tech workforce growth rate across more than 400 partner organizations. Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of IHETS, Indiana’s state technology and telecommunications agency under Governor Mitch Daniels; as Chief Information Officer at DePauw University and Valparaiso University; and as system executive and chief academic officer of Harrison College, leading fourteen campuses, an online division, and operations across five countries.
Dennis founded his first software company at age eleven — designing one of the earliest animated games to teach young children to read, a decade before “edtech” was a category. He has since founded and led ventures across aerospace finance, digital marketing for Fortune 100 clients, educational technology consulting, and AI.
He is the author of more than twenty books and games on technology, leadership, and business, including the New York Times bestselling The Future Disruptors: Coming Transformations in Business, Technology, and Leadership and Recipes for Success: How to Start a Business. He speaks nationally on AI, workforce development, and the science of longevity and human connection.
